PROJECT DESCRIPTION SUMMARY 04/15/2011
Education
Remove the 1,940 square foot second story and construct a new roof. Re-model area under the second story to provide storage for quilting and expanded space for fellowship.
Construct a 2,720 square foot education addition to the west of the existing structure. Included will be four classrooms, three restrooms (girls, boys, preschool), two storage rooms (education, custodian) and a multi-purpose room that also provides for fellowship overflow. Heating and cooling will be geothermal.
Re-shingle and re-insulate roof over the fellowship hall. Construct new septic system, new electrical service and parking lot. Remove fireplace and replace with door.
Administration
Construct 1,460 square foot administration addition to the south of the old sanctuary. Included are reception area, pastor’s office, intern’s office, conference room, parish nurse office and workroom. Access will be thru the existing men’s restroom. Heating and cooling will be geothermal.
Construct a 616 square foot multipurpose room on the north side of the old sanctuary that is accessible from both the Sanctuary and Fellowship. It will provide space for pastor and choir preparation; altar guild and sacristy supplies and private space for other activities (weddings, funerals). Heating and cooling will be geothermal.
Remodel men’s room and expand into existing intern’s office. Remodel library, entryway, secretarial and pastor’s office into expanded library and additional fellowship space.
Sanctuary
Expand sanctuary by adding two matching 420 square foot transepts utilizing the existing stain glass windows. One transept located to the west and one to the east. Either may be used by the choir/ musicians and the other is intended for general seating. Heating and cooling will be geothermal.
Geo thermal
Convert the remaining facility to off peak geothermal heating and cooling.
